(I was working check out at a dentist’s office. This mom and her two teenage daughters are checking out.)

Daughter: Guess what?

Me: What?

Daughter: Hitler is my hero!

(I’m slightly stunned, so I look at her mom.)

Mom: Oh she says things like that all the time.

Daughter: He is! I’m all about a master race!

(Normally I’d ignore the girl, who clearly just wants attention. But my best friend is Jewish and her comment p***ed me off.)

Me: Oh? You want to murder thousands of innocent people? And end up in Hell when you die? Be my guest.

(You could have heard a pin drop. I have no regrets.)
