Unfiltered Story #28293

So me, my roommate and our friend are sitting around and drinking. I’m pretty sober, my roommate is middling drunk, but our friend is smashed (he had come from his frats party). My roommate is asking our friend random questions off the top of her head, just random shit like what’s your favorite color and can you balance this bottle on your head, etc. The radio is on and the chorus of the song playing has the lyric “Would you ever kill?” in it. So she asks him, obviously copying the song, “Would you ever kill?” He gives her a strange look and we both realize she just asked an army infantryman (not only military but specifically combat troops) if he would kill someone. He came back with, “Well it’s kind of part of the job”. We’re all really good friends and we had enough alcohol in us that it didn’t make things awkward, but still.
