Unfiltered Story #28269

(I don’t really function before 8am. On Election Day I went straight to my polling place after dropping my daughter off at school. The woman in front of me was arguing about something but I ignored her even though she tried to bring me in to whatever she was complaining about.)

Me to the ID checker after seeing her name tag: Hey! Same name!

Lady in front of me: That’s my name! Aren’t you a bit young to have that name?!

Me: I was named after a woman that committed suicide. I named my own kid after her great grandmother who died in WW2 so I guess some of us are tributes instead of popular.

(She didn’t say a thing to me after that. I voted and was given a sticker and a butternut squash by a volunteer.)

Me getting into the car and processing the last 20 minutes: WTF?…..oh well it fits with the whole election this time around.
