Unfiltered Story #28250

(I have just met up with an old friend for afternoon tea, and she has driven us to a shopping centre. She is trying to find a park. It’s just getting out of winter and is a chilly day.)

Friend: Oh, I’m going to have to park far away from the door… we’re going to have to walk all that way, in the cold.

Me: That’s okay. I’m very good at walking, I’ve been doing it almost all my life.

(She did not laugh. Awkward silence ensued.)
