Back in high school, I took a girl I really liked to a school dance. My chemistry teacher was a chaperone, and he’s there with a school employee who rumor says he is dating. I decide to embarrass him.

Me: Hey, Mr. [Teacher]! Is this your girlfriend?

Teacher: Yes, she is. (Nods to my date) Is this YOUR girlfriend?

I’m suddenly absolutely put on the spot, as while I like this girl, we never really talked about being exclusive so I couldn’t say yes, but I didn’t want to say no and have her think I didn’t like her. Well played, sir. Well played.
