(I have recently met a group of people from the United States whom I am now friends with. Someone who I haven’t yet met comes online.)
New Person: “Hi [Friend #1], [Friend #2]..”
Friends 1 & 2: “Hi”
Me: “Hi.”
New Person: “Oh my god.”
Me: “What?”
New Person: “Are you like faking an accent?”
(I am from New Zealand.)
All of my new friends: *rushing to aid me* “He’s from New Zealand”
New Person: “Is that like Australia?”
Me: “Mate. Go die. Now.”
(The new person proceeded to type ‘kill’ in the game’s development console. I am now referred to as the Australian.)
