Unfiltered Story #28214
(This takes with me and my parents in a Japanese steakhouse where every body sits at the same table)
DRUNK LADY: Well, I guess I’m sitting with y’all.
(My parents and I share a glance while the lady makes an attempt at small talk)
(After a while the lady starts to talk about how much money my parents are putting away for retirement/ my college fund)
D.L.: How much are you putting away?
My parents: *nervous laughter*
D.L.: No, I’m serious. However much you’re putting away, it isn’t enough! My husband and I never put away enough money, and now we rely on our kids!
(This goes on for a while, the lady switches beetween retirement and my collage. We could not be happier to get out of there!)
