(Forgive me if this seems a little exaggerated, because this was quite a while ago. I was going to [School] and since the drive in was filled to the brim with parents, my mom let me out to walk to school a few yards away. I go out onto some of the planting bark, and a man comes out.)
KID! GET OFF THE BARK! YOU’RE KILLING PLANTS!
(Surprisingly he didn’t cuss. Let me tell you now that I was in first/second grade and had no idea the bark was used for planting. I never got dropped off there again and never saw that man again. )
