Unfiltered Story #28201

Unfiltered | October 7, 2016

(I live in a municipality owned and run house for young people with light autistic diagnosis, it is intended as a stepping stone between living with our parents and living on our own. My housemates and I for this reason are very asocial about our neighbours and stick to ourselves. We know that the neighbouring house is also a municipality owned institution but of a different kind, we just don’t know which but rumours has it is a rehab centre, one day when smoking a neighbour calls me over asking for a cigarette. I decide to settle the matter)

Me: Say, I’ve often wondered what I live next to.

Guy: It is a rehabilitation centre. I have a crippling cocaine addiction.

Me (without thinking): Well don’t feel too bad, this side of the fence is technically a mental institution.

(Unfortunately it is my other neighbour who has the greenest grass: It is a public highschool’s football field… don’t you think too much about your kids spending their impressionable age next to drug addicts and maniacs.)
