Unfiltered Story #281893
There is a woman in our community who runs a small, privately owned grocery store and nobody likes her. She is miserable and insulting, whenuou walk in to her store she acts like you have just walked uninvited in to her house and rushes you to leave.
When she does talk to people it’s only to insult her competitors (we have a lot of privately owned businesses in our community) or to insult the locals. (She is very racist and most of us in the community are not caucasian)
In march when the coronavirus hit our province and all the non essential businesses were ordered to close, she decided to make amends with the community. She and her sons went door to door handing out hand made $50 gift cards for her store along with a flyer talking about how she loves our community, wants to be a part of put community and she hopes we will all come to her store to buy our quarantine supplies. The gift cards were only valid for 2 weeks.
The next morning her store was locked up with a big sign stating that she was closing her store while she would be self isolating for 2 weeks and that her store would reopen sometime after that.
She reopened last week (we are now in June) and wouldn’t accept the now expired gift cards. So much for mending ties with the community.
