Unfiltered Story #281823

, | Unfiltered | January 26, 2023

My co-worker and I are going out for lunch. I’m 21 and she’s 22. It should be noted that while I’m quite tall, I have very little figure and a baby face, so I’m often mistaken for a young teen. I’m used to it, and as long as people aren’t jerks about it, I find it funny.
On the way we stop to watch some landscapers putting in flowers and strike up a conversation with one of them. After a few minutes:
Landscaper: So are you two mother and daughter?
Us: *laughing* no, not at all!
Me: How old do you think I am?
Landscaper: Well I thought you were about 12, but I guess I’m wrong.
*We laugh about it a bit more*
Co-worker: *stops laughing suddenly* wait, if you thought she was 12, how old would that make me?
Landscaper: …. I think I’d better get back to work, now. You ladies have a good day.
