*Incident #1: the client is fostering a cat with horrible skin allergies that were well controlled with a steroid.*
Client #1: “I stopped giving [Cat #1] his Prednisolone on [date 3 weeks ago] and he’s just been scratching himself bloody since then. He’s absolutely miserable and I just don’t know what to do!”
*Incident #2, about a day later: this cat has hyperthyroidism, which causes cats to waste away and die if not treated. It’s generally easy to treat with medication.*
Client #2: “[Cat #2] threw up yesterday, so I’m not going to give her Methimazole anymore. What things do I need to be concerned about now that I’ve stopped her medication?”
