(A girl I made friends with at college has the same hometown as me, so we’re carpooling home for a holiday weekend. Ended up not getting on the road until after dark. We’re getting hungry, and looking for a good place to grab some food.)
Me: Hey look, there’s a [Fast Food Chain] at the next exit!
Friend: Keep an eye out, I don’t wanna miss the turn.
(Another sign comes into view, indicating that the county Detention Center was also at the next exit.)
Friend: Oh, Hell no!
Both: NOPE! Nope nope nope nope nope!
(There was another [Fast Food Chain] a couple miles down the road, in a more populated area.)
