I’m walking around town with a friend and her little sister. Her sister insults me, so I chase her down a hill and plant a single punch between her shoulders.

Voice: “HOW OLD ARE YOU!?”

Startled, I look and see that a few popular girls from my grade are at the top of the hill.

Me: “What?”

Popular girl: “How old are you!?”

Me: “Thirteen?”

Popular girl: *pointing at sister* “How old is she?”

Sister: *obviously confused* “Ten.”

Popular girl: “That’s ABUSE!”

There’s an awkward silence for a few seconds, then me, my friend, and her sister all burst out laughing. We continue wandering around town, shouting “that’s abuse!” at anything out of the ordinary for the rest of the day.
