I recently lost my job as my work contract ended. I was visiting my best friend as she owed me $500 that I had lent her over the last few months to pay her rent and she said she was able to pay me back.

All went well untill her partners ex came over, uninvited, claiming the money should be hers, even though she has never lent either of us money, or even chipped in money when we were buying drinks for parties .

My friends other room mates say if I don’t give her the money to shut her up ill never be allowed to visit their house again.. Which they wouldn’t even have now if I hadn’t let them borrow my money before.
