Unfiltered Story #281165
My doctor’s office has a very active residency program, and their default is to assign a new patient to a resident. In the time I’ve been a patient there, I’ve had two awful residents that I refused to see more than once, and three wonderful residents who have completed their residencies. My latest doctor is part of the latter group. At my last appointment with her, I asked if she could refer me to a non-resident doctor in the practice so that I can get some continuity in my care.
My doctor: “Oh, sure, let me set you up with [Doctor]. She’s the supervisor of the residency program and she’s going nowhere fast.”
