*When I was a junior in high school, in an effort to try and be a little more digital/cut down on some of the stuff we had to carry since we didn’t have lockers, my school had a program where students could bring their laptops and do work that way. The one downside was that there were no wireless printers so if something needed to be printed, you had to be on a school desktop. Normally, it was fine, but every once in a while, a teacher would want something typed up but we’d need a paper copy. So you’d type up the document/report/whatever and either email it to the teacher or save it to a flash drive and take the flash drive to the teacher. One day in my english class, we’d had an assignment he’d wanted printed. So I’d typed mine up and brought him my flash drive. As he was pulling up the document and telling it to print, he turned to me*

Teacher: So, where do you live?

Me: *blinks in surprise* Um…

Classmate #1: Wow, Mr.[Teacher], way to *not* be creepy

Teacher: *realizes what he said/how it sounded* Oh, no, no! Sorry, I was just wondering because I saw you walking a dog on [major street about a mile from the school]. Looked like he was having some trouble; I almost stopped because I thought you might need help.

Me: *We had a lab retriever who about 10 at the time. He had arthritis so could be slow. He had this thing about buses; no idea what it was but he would go crazy whenever he saw one. He’d bark his fool head off and run back and forth in the backyard anytime they’d go by. When we first got him, we thought it was diesel engines, but he only went after buses, so we have no idea.* Oh, yeah that was my dog. He was either tangled in his leash or trying to chase the buses. We live just off the lake over on [other major street that T’s into the one he’d seen me on].
