Unfiltered Story #280710
I am shopping in a grocery store one afternoon. On three occasions as I walk through the aisles, I pass by a mother and her daughter who looks to be around seven-years-old. The girl is playing with a large party balloon by inflating it and deflating it repeatedly. Unfortunately, it serves as a distraction and causes her to wander into the aisle and get in the way of me and other customers, much to her mother’s annoyance. As I happen to pass by her again, she is standing in the way of my cart again.
Me: *cheerfully* “Excuse me, balloon girl!”
Girl: *Stares blankly at me and steps out of the way.*
As I walk away, I hear her talk to her mom.
Girl: “Mom, why did he call me balloon girl?”
Mother: “Because you’re being a balloon girl!”
