Unfiltered Story #28069
(I am a tourist, visiting Rome. The city’s metro lines are far from some attractions I wanted to go to, so I sat down and opened my map to plot the most efficient walking route possible. Note: I have also been told that there are a lot of con artists around and not to accept assistance from strangers offering to help.)
Stranger: *walking to me and sitting down next to me* “Hi, where are you from?”
Me: “Singapore.”
Stranger: “Oh, I’m from Italy.”
Me: *ignores him*
Stranger: “I want to be your friend.”
Me: *ignores him
Stranger: “I can be a good friend. Where are you going? I can help.”
Me: *points in a random direction* “There.”
Stranger: “I’d like to be friends with you. Can we be friends?”
Me: *fed up and deciding to leave* “No, I have enough friends.”
(I got up and crossed the road. Luckily, he didn’t follow me!)
