We get this bloke come in occasionally, no more than twice or three times a week, around midday, and all he buys is a cornish pasty, or sometimes a roll, or a pizza slice or something. He always tries to make a joke or come on with some old banter or other.

We’re in the middle of lockdown and we’re staying open but its not easy, we don’t have much staff. And he comes in midday on the Saturday, and he’s his usual self, and he goes, “doing my little bit to help keep you open” and as usual he just buys this one cornish pasty.

So I says to him, “Yeah, well it really *is* a little.” That shuts him up.
