Unfiltered Story #27941

(My mom has a plot at a local community garden area, where people can have a space of their own. Each person is responsible for their own garden. Recently, a large amount of produce has been stolen from several gardens. Mom sees a woman picking from many different gardens.)

Mom: Hi, which garden is yours?

Lady: Oh, none of them!

Mom: I see, that’s what I thought. You know, these gardens aren’t public, they belong to people that will expect their vegetables to be here later. You

can’t just take things.

Lady: I thought these were community gardens!

Mom: Yes, a *community for gardeners*.

(The woman never even apologized for her very expensive crime spree. I hope she doesn’t go to jail for stealing salad.)
