Unfiltered Story #27912

Sydney, Australia | Unfiltered | November 9, 2015

A few years back my husband was out of work for 2 years and I was working at a 16 hour a week job. I would take any extra shifts whenever I could but quite often my pay would only just cover our family’s food bill for the week for our family of four. Any extra went on to the bills, we had no social life, simply living paycheck to paycheck.

I am talking to a friend who is complaining about her finances. She eats out several times a week and I often see her spending up to $200 at a time on junky items. She and her husband earn in excess of $100 Grand a year and have no kids.

Friend “You have no idea what it’s like having to live paycheck to paycheck we never have any money left at the end”
