I am the idiot in this story. Since I have worked customer service for years I try to extra friendly and helpful to anyone serving me.

Cashier finishing my transaction: Would you like a copy of your receipt?
Me: No, thank you.
*Printer prints out his copy and he is holding it to put it in their files*
Me: *Looking at cashier expectantly*
Cashier: So, do you need a copy of your receipt?
Me: Oh my gosh. No, I am so sorry!

I have no idea what I else I thought I was getting as I had my purchase in my hand!
