Unfiltered Story #274044

(Turning myself in here; in my defense it had been a very long day. I went to the hardware store after work because I needed to pick up some diamond bits for my rotary tool. Problem is, I was so mentally gone at this point that I could only think of the commonly used name brand for the tool instead. I wander around the store for a bit, even staring right at what I needed before wandering away. After circling the store, I finally give up and ask an employee.)

Me: Where are your diamond Dremel bits?

Employee: Right there. *points directly behind me*

Me: *still not connecting the dots* Oh. I looked there. But I only saw rotary bits.

(The employee stayed blessedly silent at this and let me realize my idiocy at my own, very slow, pace. Thank you, sir.)
