It’s a small thing, but that makes it a short story.

I was hospitalized twice for back surgery. My mother-in-law came to stay.

Despite both of us telling her not to do any housework, she did the laundry. Sounds great; right?

However, when I was on my feet again I discovered quite a few of my clothes and our towels had bleach marks.

No one else in the family had clothes with those marks. Just me.

But here’s the unexplainable: she didn’t do a single load with bleach.
