Unfiltered Story #267878
My mother decided to send me to Catholic school for 8th grade. I didn’t want to go, but she decided to spend thousands of dollars for the “privilege.” The classes were ridiculously easy. Tuesdays and Wednesdays didn’t even have traditional schooling- just choir practice and mass with religious studies afterwards.
On the first day of class, the English teacher walked in with this stern expression. “This won’t be like the last 6 years,” she said. “You are now in 8th grade. You have to learn new material, now.”
Needless to say, I was woefully unprepared for an actually decent high school.
