Unfiltered Story #266274

(Announcements at my school are often missed because no one quiets down when the loudspeaker turns on. Something is said over the loudspeaker, but I end up hearing nothing because my class won’t be quiet long enough to listen. The teacher gets very frustrated when students talk out of turn for any reason at all. It’s only first period, so my filter isn’t in top condition.)

Student #1: “Wait, what was the announcement?”

Student #2: “I didn’t hear it.”

Me: *louder than I intended to* “That’s because no one in this class knows how to shut up.”

Teacher: “Attagirl!”
