(I’m a great lover of puns. My family has been devastated over having to give up our cat, Stella, to due to my father developing allergies. We know that she’s fine with our out-of-state cousins and get frequent updates about how she’s asserting her dominance over our cousins’ dog and kitten, but we still miss her a lot.)

Brother: “I keep thinking she’s still here. Last night I woke up and saw something and thought, ‘Stella?’ But it was just a box.”

Me: “ . . . It’s a placebox.”

Mom: *groans*

Me: “Come on! That was good!”
