Unfiltered Story #263563

This story is the one time I almost fell for one of those phone scams. I was about 18 with my first laptop, and it had actually gotten a virus. It was just a browser redirect one that had made dealing with my computer a pain and I had just turned it off. Just as I put the thing down the phone rang and it was the call from ‘windows’ scam. I told them about the situation, but that I did not have my own card or such and would need them to call back later. They never did and I read online about the scam a few days later.
