I heard this one from my parents:

My Dad isn’t excatly allergic, but can’t stomach cucumber. Sometime into when he had moved together with Mom and i wasn’t yet conceived, he mentioned it to her but she didn’t believe it.

Dad went to buy a cucumber and ate it all before bed. Mom says his stomach made weird noises and he had runny s**t the whole night and neither of them could sleep because of it.

That apparently made her believe it.
