My then boyfriend and I are out on one of our first dates. Our church is doing a backpack drive so we are pitching in together to fill a backpack with school supplies and some other things. We are both quirky but haven’t quite expressed it with each other yet. As we walk down one of the aisles, he grabs a toothbrush and holds it up.

Boyfriend: How well would you have to know a guy to share a toothbrush with him?

Me: (laughs and a little bit shocked by the question) I’d have to know him pretty well!

We have now been together for 6 years, married for 3, and no we still haven’t shared a toothbrush. We do constantly tease each other about it though.
