I’m a supervisor and was was passing the self service tills when I noticed a till needed assistance so I decided to help, noticed it was a child trying to buy a DVD of ‘Venom’ which is restricted to 15 in the UK, the boy is clearly young

Me: is this for you?

Boy: yeah

Me: sorry but this DVD is restricted to 15.

Boy: but it’s only one year!

Me: sorry but I’m not serving you, you must be 15 and have ID

*he walks off*

Did he really think he could convince me by saying that? I’d lose my job on the spot if I sold him that after he basically told me he’s only 14!
