I’m hosting a bonfire party, and me and a boy I had gone on a few dates with are sitting on a bench together, kind of away from everyone else. Keep in mind, neither of us has asked “Do you want to be my girlfriend/boyfriend?” Or anything like that, he did ask me “to see a movie,” but that was only because I liked him and his brother urged him to.

My friend texts him, and he decides to show me the text.

The text: “If you need help asking [me] to be your gf tell me”

I’m confused as to why he would show me this, but then get excited as I assume that he’s finally going to ask me right at that moment.

The boy (to me): “I don’t know why she would say that, you’re already my girlfriend.”

Me (happily screaming): “I DIDNT KNOW THAT!”

And that’s the story of how I found out my crush has considered me his girlfriend for the past few months.
