(My supervisor asks me to learn how to reserve groups, which is quite a complicated process. I say sure. We sit down in front of the computer.)

Supervisor: “And then you click here and add this here, and…”

(She goes on and on about what to do, while I’m nodding enthusiastically along and taking notes.)

Supervisor: “And that’s how you do it. Now, go on and get out of here. I’m sick of looking at you.”

Me: “!”

Supervisor: “Heh.”

(Really who says that? That job didn’t last long…)
