(I work at a gas station and this happened while talking to a regular)
Him: I just was at the dentist and they said I need a filling, but I don’t understand, I don’t eat anything with sugar and I even drink my tea black
(Note, he was holding a pack of cigarettes and drinking a coffee I just made him)
Me: uh, coffee is bad for your teeth, and so are cigarettes….
Him: oh, really? I didn’t know that, oh well
