I’m sitting at the front desk. My boss comes in and I greet her as she passes to her office. A resident is coming down the hall towards us and spots her first.

Resident: Can I ask you a question?
Boss: Of course you can, [Resident].
Resident: *spots me* Oh, never mind. I’ll ask her instead. She knows more than you.
Me: *deer in headlights*
Boss: Ok then! [My Name], she’s all yours!

I was able to answer the resident’s question and she was happy. My boss never said anything else about it. I’m not going to say the resident was wrong though…
