(I’m up front, gathering returns to put back out to the floor. My coworker comes over with some flowers. Note: I’m a lesbian, and my coworker is gay.)
Coworker: Here, [my name].
Me: Oh, I didn’t know you thought of me like that! I’m so touched!
Coworker: Well I’m always a hopeless romantic!
(He leaves. My other coworker gives me a funny look.)
Coworker #2: You…do you you’re not his type, right?
Me: Don’t worry, he’s not mine either.
