Teacher: Now, let me know if you prefer your full name or a nickname.

Student: What if we don’t have a preference?

Teacher: Just choose one. I said I didn’t care what my teacher called me once. That was a mistake.

Student: What happened?

Teacher: I said I didn’t care between “Tom” and “Thomas”. She called me “Bozo the Clown” the entire year.

(The class erupted into laughter. Everyone told him a preference.)
