In high school a friend of my killed himself by jumping off a famous bridge in our city. it was shocking and hurtful to all of us.

I was at school when I found out and was kind of numb. I went to my next class and the teacher was clearly struggling with a way to tell the other students who didn’t know. I was sick of the silence and no one telling anyone I say loudly “[Friend] Killed himself!”

People were upset, someone started to cry. What happened? The teacher chewed me out for releasing the news in an insensitive manner.

She did apologies to me later, after I think a grief counselor told her she was wrong for that but I was over it. I was getting the highest grades in her class and I never participated after that moment.
