I once worked in a call center for a company that released a monthly magazine to our subscribers. In one issue, there was a contest listed on the back. The contest explained the rules, then instructed readers to email their responses to “employee@company dot com.” I received MANY complaint calls that our website was not working and that the link for the contest was faulty. I had to constantly explain that it was, in fact, an email address and not a URL.
