Unfiltered Story #253957

, , | Unfiltered | February 21, 2022

I manage a store that specializes in custom athletic wear, and we have a number of regular customers, as we are within a sports facility. Among these regulars is an extremely abrasive and offensive fellow whose son trains in the facility. To say that we would rather he never comes in again would be an understatement. Last night he came up and asked me about doing some shirts for him personally. I couldn’t understand him and I said “I’m sorry, I didn’t catch that”. He started talking again in a voice that was to imitate what he thought was a deaf person, and made sign language gestures. I said “please don’t do that, I actually do have a substantial hearing loss”. He started to turn white and I proceeded to pull my hearing aid out to show him I wasn’t kidding. He apologized profusely, went into the bathroom, came out and apologized again numerous times.
