Unfiltered Story #252229

, | Unfiltered | January 24, 2022

The condo next door has been vacant for some time, but new neighbors have just moved in this week. One morning, we wake up to no internet connection. Router reboots do nothing, a technician will be out tomorrow to see what’s up. In the meantime, mobile internet and connecting at work is our only Web ticket.

The technician arrives, looks at the main switch box for the development, then traces all of the cords. Most go nowhere, but he does locate the problem–our neighbors were hooked up yesterday morning. That tech unplugged the cord going to our condo to connect our neighbors’ condo.

While he was setting up new connectors and installing a locking cover box to protect the cords, the neighbors came out to complain about the previous tech. One half-assed job later, and our development will have replacement switches at the main box for the dead connections, our cable connection was adjusted for stability, and we will have our very own cord from the main switch–no more splitting with our neighbor!
