Unfiltered Story #251274

I happen to have rosy cheeks and I have since I was young. I went to a dermatologist who told me I have rosacea, which is quite common. Over the years so many people have asked me why my cheeks are so red that I have gotten used to it and I usually laugh it off.

One day, while working on register at a prominent nationwide hardware store I got into a conversation with a pleasant enough man which continued for a couple of minutes after his transaction was completed. True to form he asked me why my cheeks were red, was I sick? I explained that I have rosacea and it causes the skin to look quite red or rosy. The conversation continued until another customer came up and I said thank you and goodbye to the man. However, just as he was leaving the man turned back to me and said “By the way, you have high blood pressure. That’s what makes your cheeks red.” Then he walked out. I was flabbergasted!
