Unfiltered Story #249950

, | Unfiltered | December 20, 2021

I don’t actually work in customer service, but I deal with a lot of customers every day. This happens at least once a week.

My email notice chimes to let me know someone has sent me an email. I then read it and start to reply. Before I can finish replying I get a call.

Caller: Hi, I just sent you an email.
Me: Yes, I was replying when you called.
Caller: Ok, thanks. I just wanted to make sure you got it.

I always get my emails. Email is very reliable and can even send you a read receipt when the receiver opens the email! What is the point of emailing if you’re going to call thirty seconds later? These aren’t even important emails either. Often, they’re simple things and I could wait a week to answer before it would effect my company or the customer!

Question of the Week

Tell us about the most outrageous request a customer has ever made!

I have a story to share!
