(I work in the frame shop and we call customers when their orders are done to let them know they can pick them up.)

Me: *dials number*

Customer: *answers after a couple of rings* What?

Me: *briefly pauses, continues cheerfully* Hi! This is the frame shop at [Craft Store]. Is this [Name]?

Customer: …*hangs up*

(I’m more amused than anything else. Later, the customer calls back to check on the status of their order.)

Me: Oh yes! I tried calling you earlier, but I’m not sure what happened.

Customer: *sheepishly* Yeah, that was me. Sorry, I was at work.
