(This happened a couple of years ago, a few friends and I went to see a recently released horror movie after a late dinner. It was the last showing of the night and at first we were the only people in the theatre, so we each grabbed a row, laid down, and settled in. Towards the end of the previews we see a couple walk in holding hands and head up to one of the back rows behind us. We quiet down so we dont disrupt the movie while they’re watching. The movie starts and begins with a sudden car crash in the first few moments. The crash is a bit of a jump scare, and from the back we hear the girl in the couple)
Girl: Oh my God, you didnt tell me this was a horror movie!
(We all couldn’t help but laugh, it was rated r for violence and horror, and heavily advertised throughout the theatre and right outside the doors to the screen as a horror movie, no idea how she missed it)
