I’m shopping in a grocery store. I’m leaning over a bin in the produce section, choosing good cucumbers when someone comes up behind me.

Other customer: Excuse me, do you know where…

I stand up and turn to them and the see me.

Other customer: Oh, you don’t work here.

Me: No, I don’t. (I point to a nearby employee) But she does.

Other customer: That’s okay.

She then walked away without asking the real employee anything.
