When I first started at the local community college, they had a rule that there was no food or drink allowed in the classroom. Of course, this rule was ignored by the entire student body and faculty, except for one teacher. She insisted everyone follow this rule to the letter.

When I took a film course with her, I joined many of my fellow students on a trip to the vending machine for drinks and various snacks. When we tried to return to class, she told us nobody could come in while we had our food/drinks with us.

Which is why half the class watched several film segments from the hallway, crowded around the door, happily eating our Doritos and drinking our Pepsi. This scene played out more than once during my time in that course.
