Unfiltered Story #247415

This happened a few years ago while working at a computer retail store. I am on the phone with an irate customer about a return that cannot be processed over the phone. He demands my name to call our customer service about my “lack of skills”. I have a uncommon name that sounds like a joke.

Customer – “This is just ridiculous! My wife is in the hospital and I can’t get there to return this!”

Me – “I’m sorry sir but I need the item here to return it and to issue a refund.”

Customer – “I want to talk your main office about you! What is your name?!”

Me – ” My name is Crystal Lake”

Customer – “Psh yeah right”

Me – “Yes sir, that is my name. My dad has an odd sense of humor”

Customer – “Whatever” *click*

This was not the first time, or the last time someone did not believe my name was real :/
