Unfiltered Story #245969
I am sitting on a bench near one of the exits to the mall. A family is just about to pass me, heading for the doors. The youngest, a boy, looks like he’s maybe three years old.
Boy: *veering away from his family and eagerly trotting up to me* “Ha-fy!”
Mother: “Get back here!”
Boy: *holding his hand up straight, palm towards me* “Ha-fy!”
Mother: “[Boyyy]…”
Me: “High-five?”
Boy: *excited* “Ha-fy!”
I held my hand up and he gleefully smacked his palm against mine before running back to his family. His mother tried to apologize, but I wouldn’t accept it, and told her how cute her son was. She laughed and the family headed towards the exit again, with the boy happily babbling toddler-nonsense all the way out the door.
